I believe that what immigrants and their families have been through matters.

Hi, I'm Daisy (she/her), and I believe immigrants and what they've been through matter because I grew up in a Mexican-immigrant home. Growing up bilingual (English/Spanish) and bi-cultural, I often felt misunderstood by professionals. My family and I would be quickly judged for speaking Spanish or for our particular struggles. I remember feeling the most comfortable with professionals who looked like us and spoke our language.

Because of where I come from and the 10+ years of clinical experience I have working with immigrant families and their trauma and grief, I am exceptionally qualified to conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for immigration cases. I will carefully and professionally document the psychological aspects of your case, and I will coordinate with your immigration attorney to ensure that your written report is providing valuable information to the courts.

I conduct clinical evaluations for:

Extreme Hardship Waivers and Cancellation of Removal

For immigrants worrying about the impact deportation may have on their qualifying relatives.

Asylum Cases

For those fleeing persecution in their country of origin.

Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Cases

For victims of domestic violence.

T Visa Cases

For victims of human trafficking.

U Visa Cases

For victims of a serious crime.

When I'm not seeing clients, you can find me spending time with my family or biking around town. I value simple living, so I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and organizing our home. I enjoy baking, editing down our possessions, and spending quality time with friends. I also love thrifting!

I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal in my mid-twenties and absolutely loved my service! My Wolof and French are rusty now, but I have a very special place in my heart for West Africa.
